Shen holds a 55.1% win rate in the Top role on Patch 26.21, 4.2 points above the Top role average of 51.0%. That is the 2nd highest win rate of 62 Top champions tracked at Emerald+ this patch. With a 3.0% pick rate (28th most played in the role) and a 0.5% ban rate, Shen rarely gets banned, so the pick is almost always available in champion select.

Patch 26.21 was good to Shen Top: the tier rating climbed from A to S+ after the latest data merge, which usually means either direct buffs, favorable item changes, or nerfs to common lane opponents. At S+ tier, Shen is a pick you can blind in most drafts and climb with confidently.

Champion select decides a lot of Shen Top games. The hardest matchups this patch are Garen (43.2% win rate for Shen) and Yone (55.8% win rate for Shen): consider banning one or holding your pick until the opponent locks in. On the other side, Malphite (66.7%) and Mordekaiser (61.3%) are the matchups to look for, where Shen wins the lane more often than not at Emerald+.
