Refund Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy explains when you may receive a refund for paid subscriptions to MOBA Trainer, operated by MOBA Trainer B.V. It supplements our Terms of Use.

2. Your statutory rights (EU/EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union or EEA, you have mandatory rights under applicable law (including the Dutch implementation of EU consumer law). Nothing in this policy removes those rights.

For distance contracts, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day of purchase where applicable law provides it.

3. Our contractual refund rule — active usage (30 minutes)

Subject to Section 2 above, we do not grant refunds for a billing period if, during that period, your account has at least 30 minutes of Active Usage of paid features.

"Active Usage" means time recorded on our servers while you are signed in to the App (or authenticated paid session on the Website) and actively using paid functionality (e.g. completing puzzles, training modes, or other metered premium features). Idle time, background time, or time on free-only features does not count.

4. When we may still refund (discretionary)

Outside statutory rights, we may offer a refund at our discretion if:

  • you were charged in error or duplicated;
  • a technical failure on our side prevented meaningful access for an extended period; or
  • applicable law requires a refund despite Section 3.

Chargebacks without contacting us first may lead to account suspension while we investigate.

5. How to request a refund

Email vlad@mobatrainer.com with:

  • account email
  • date of charge
  • Payment number (usually shared with you via email by the payment provider)
  • account id (click the bug icon in the Account tab in MOBA Trainer for this information)
  • reason for the request

We aim to respond within 14 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method; timing depends on your bank or payment provider (typically 5–10 business days).

6. Subscriptions and cancellation

Cancelling a subscription stops future charges. It does not automatically refund the current period unless Sections 2–4 apply.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
